New Forest Recreation Ground vaccination centre opens in Nottingham

A new vaccination centre opened in Nottingham on Saturday as the rollout continues.

The site opened on Saturday morning (January 23) at the Forest Recreation Ground in Gregory Boulevard, Forest Fields.

The opening of this centre takes the total number of vaccination sites run by the Nottinghamshire CCG to 11 across the county and city.

Nottingham City Council said in a tweet: "Pauline from Beechdale got her covid vaccination today at the new site opened on The Forest Recreation Ground. HUGE thanks to local GP Dr Singh for his work to keep our city safe."

Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG said in a tweet: "Fantastic news as a local vaccination service has opened today at Forest Recreation Ground in Nottingham City.

"Huge thank you to all of those involved for their amazing work."

A letter from the NHS Covid-19 Vaccination Booking Service will allow the public to book an appointment at the new site either online or by phone.

Booking through this service will give the public the option of having the vaccine at a range of venues.
