New footage of Jordan Flores wondergoal shows Dundalk teammate's stunned reaction

New footage has emerged of the amazing goal scored by Dundalk's Jordan Flores against Shamrock Rovers.

The original video of the incredible left-footed volley has garnered millions of views online and has received worldwide acclaim.

Sky Sports News, ESPN, and BBC Match of the Day have all shared the clip from Friday's clash at Tallaght Stadium - which hosts Shamrock Rovers won 3-2.

The video of a new angle was shared by official SSE Airtricity League accounts across social media channels today.

It shows the reaction of Dundalk full-back Sean Gannon, who runs to celebrate before momentarily stopping to put his hands to his head in disbelief.

The video also shows that Hoops keeper Alan Mannus got a touch to the ball before it found the top corner - something that wasn't clear from the original footage.

FIFA acknowledged that the goal could be a Puskas Ward contender for world football's goal of the year.

The official FIFA account tweeted: "A potential candidate for the #Puskas Award? Take a bow, Jordan Flores . Will we see this stunner nominated at #TheBest?"

Sky Sports News described it as a "wonder-volley" and said "it's the kind of volley Zinedine Zidane would have been proud of".

Spanish publication AS said: "The 2020 Puskas Award has just been 'won' by Dundalk's Jordan Flores."

France Football website site called it "La folle reprise de volée" - "The crazy volley."

Sporting Life said: "Oh wow. Jordan Flores, take a bow! The Dundalk ace just scored this belter in their League of Ireland Premier Division clash with Shamrock Rovers. Sheer beauty."

The result from Friday night's game leaves the Hoops three points clear at the top of the SSE Airtricity League table.
