A new Five Guys restaurant is coming to West Lothian.
The American burger franchise has been opening up stores throughout the UK in the past year and are moving onto Livingston next.
Excited locals in West Lothian have been speculating online about the new store in recent weeks and months.
The new Five Guys is to be located at Elements Square in The Centre, at a site last occupied by Ask Italian.
The adjacent restaurant units are occupied by Wagamama and Nando’s.
Five Guys was established in 1986 by the Murrell family in Virginia and launched in the UK in 2013, opening in London.
The burger specialist prides itself on using the freshest ingredients, and customers can find out which local farm the potatoes have come from by checking out the restaurant’s notice board.
Burgers are grilled to order, whilst the fries are hand cut every morning and cooked in peanut oil.
Using fresh ingredients there are 250,000 possible combinations to order your burger at Five Guys as well as over 1,000 possible ways to customise your milkshake.
A job description for the new Livingston store explains the company ethos.
It says: “We’re the burger restaurant with the uncomplicated formula: burgers and fries cooked fresh to perfection, with no frozen ingredients. “And we’ve stuck to the same ‘perfect and serve’ philosophy since our family business began in 1986.
“These days, we’re still just as much a family as we always have been. We look after each other. We have fun. We have tons of integrity. We’re enthusiastic. We’re competitive. And we just get it done – whatever the challenge.”
