New fitness festival Strong Island to launch in Canary Wharf next week

If motivation is flagging on those New Year fitness goals, fear not — Canary Wharf is hosting a wellbeing festival next week.

From Monday January 28 until Sunday February 3, new festival Strong Island will utilise E14 with a host of athletic activities, including the first ever Barry's Bootcamp to take place out of its regular studio in the UK.

The week-long festival will cover all areas of wellbeing and fitness, with a programme featuring the likes of car park workouts, meditation classes and nutrition workshops.

The eclectic line-up includes a number of big names from the world of health and fitness. Strength trainer and author Phil Learney will kick off the week of activities with a Q&A session on Monday, followed by a chat with fitness podcast host Ben Coomber on Tuesday.

Other highlights include cult workout class Barry’s Bootcamp, which is headed out of its usual home for the first time in the UK, with a high-intensity bout in the Wharf's east wintergarden on Thursday.

A selection of dance sessions and HIIT workouts will round off the festival, along with an immersive day of fitness and food on Sunday.

Tickets for Strong Island’s events range from £10-£20.
