
Passenger throughput at Newcastle Airport remained stable in August, compared with the same period in 2018, according to new figures.
Airport management released the monthly data on Wednesday, which showed 104,729 passengers used the facility in August, 2019, up by 0.4 per cent from August, 2018.
It took the total number of passengers for the financial year to 214,727, which was 0.3 per cent down on the same period period in 2018/19.
It comes after results released for July, 2019, showed a 1 per cent drop in total passenger numbers and year-to-date numbers compared with the previous 12 months.
