New family-run Italian restaurant to open in city centre

A new Italian restaurant is set to open in the city centre next week.

Roshi Kanushi and Annie Lithgow – the owners of Caffe Pieno in Jordanhill – are kicking their foodie venture up a notch with Ristorante Pieno on Hope Street.

Roshi has been a pizza chef for 16 years and said he is finally fulfilling his "passion" of opening up a proper restaurant.

The family-friendly venue will be serving up pizzas, pastas, chicken, seafood and steak, though their menu will be reduced initially.

It opens to the public on Thursday August 13.

The restaurant can seat up to 100 people, but will limit the number to 56 due to social distancing measures.

To book a table, you can call 0141 332 7728 or email info@ristorante-pieno.com.

Bosses said: "We're looking forward to the challenge and excited to bring our delicious food and warm friendly service to a bigger audience."
