New eviction notice for ‘African tribe’ living in woods

  • A self-proclaimed 'Kingdom of Kubala' has received a new eviction notice in the Scottish Borders after relocating to council-owned land near Jedburgh.
  • The group, consisting of Kofi Offeh, Jean Gasho, and Kaura Taylor, was previously evicted from private land on Tuesday but moved to a new site.
  • Scottish Borders Council initiated legal action, and the group has been ordered to vacate the premises by noon on Monday.

  • The group claims they are reclaiming land stolen from their ancestors 400 years ago and stated on social media that their “kingdom can never be destroyed”.
