New Everton stadium footage perfectly shows incredible progress at Bramley-Moore Dock

New time-lapse footage has perfectly shown the incredible progress Everton have made with their new stadium work at Bramley-Moore Dock.

The Blues have been working on site at the waterfront since July, following a decision earlier in the year to grant planning permission for the club's proposals.

A Liverpool City Council planning committee unanimously passed the plans in February before they were given approval by the government a few months later.

Everton have been hard at work over recent months to prepare the area for construction and more recently have made the first steps that will provide the base for the new ground.

Non-listed buildings on the site have all been demolished, the dock has been filled with sand and the beginnings of the concrete foundations have begun to be laid at multiple sections of the site.

And new footage has managed to capture the huge differences that have been made on the site.

YouTube user Mister Drone UK has taken regular trips down to the waterfront to fly his airborne camera over the site and capture the latest progress over a number of months.

With the end of the year approaching, he has gone down to the site once more and created a time-lapse footage to show just how different Bramley-Moore Dock is starting to look.

The most noticeable change has of course come to the water which was once in place in the dock itself, which has now been completely replaced by sand.

Last week, the club also announced that the first section of the concrete super-structure of Everton’s new stadium has been erected on the site.

The giant pre-cast concrete panels and pillars installed this week, just prior to the enabling and construction works breaking for Christmas, are the first structural elements of the North West core, which will incorporate the entrance turnstiles to the North Stand and create support for the entry and exit stairs up to the concourse areas.

The compaction process for the sand infilled into the dock was also due to be completed last week before a break over the festive period.

Everton’s new home at Bramley-Moore Dock is recognised as the largest single-site private sector development in the country contributing an estimated £1.3bn to the UK economy, creating more than 15,000 jobs and attracting 1.4m visitors to the city of Liverpool.

Once complete, the scheme will have acted as a catalyst for more than £650m worth of accelerated regeneration directly benefiting the nearby Ten Streets development.
