New England Patriots tackle Isaiah Wynn suffers foot injury in week two

Former Georgia Bulldog great and current New England Patriots left tackle Isaiah Wynn missed the rest of his week two contest versus the Miami Dolphins after suffering a foot injury. Wynn missed last season with a torn Achilles tendon. The Patriots went on to shutout the Dolphins 43-0. Here’s the play where Wynn hurt his foot:

Wynn is a key piece on New England’s offensive line and will be greatly missed. Wynn’s status for this Sunday’s contest at home against the New York Jets is up in the air. Marshall Newhouse filled in for Wynn after the injury. Update: Wynn’s foot issue is now believed to be a toe injury.

As the week moves forward, New England and Bulldog fans will get a better idea of the status of Wynn. Wynn, a 2018 first round pick, is one of several Georgia Bulldogs on New England’s roster.
