Coronation Street's Kate Anthony is swapping soaps as she joins the cast of ITV’s Emmerdale.
The star was on Corrie for four years as the aunt of Tyrone Dobbs’ wife Molly who later was in a mix of drama.
She joined the cast in 2008 but is now off to create drama on the Yorkshire Dales playing the part of murdered Andrea Tate’s mum Hazel.

Her character is travelling to the village for a memorial service for her daughter who was killed by mass murderer Meena Jutla last week.
Emmerdale viewers were left shocked when Andrea was left to die in the burning maze. Before the end of her life she was hunted by Meena after she witnessed her trying to drown rival Victoria Sugden.
When seeking for help she found herself in a giant maize maze trapped and as she flared a flare gun to defend herself she instead set the maze on fire and was left for dead by Meena.
Kate, who will be playing Hazel, is due to arrive in the village next week for the memorial service held by Andrea's former mother-in-law Kim Tate.
And it seems Hazel isn’t just coming for the funeral she is planning on dropping a bombshell on Kim that’s going to leave her in shock.
