New Emails Reveal Sarah Ferguson’s Deeper Ties to Jeffrey Epstein and 15 Years of Financial Support

New emails suggest Sarah Ferguson’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein were far deeper and lasted much longer than anyone realized. The newly revealed correspondence, which was obtained by The Mail on Sunday, claims the Duchess of York relied on the convicted sex offender for financial support for over 15 years—far more than the £15,000 she has previously acknowledged.

One of the most jaw-dropping details from the emails includes Epstein’s claim that Sarah Ferguson was “the first to celebrate” his release from jail, bringing her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, along with her.

These emails are part of a much larger set of documents under review by the US Congress, and they are expected to be released after certain redactions are made to protect the identities of Epstein’s victims.

“‘A Giant Error of Judgment’: Sarah Ferguson’s Apology for Ties to Epstein Revealed” (Photo Credit: Getty Images)

A source told The Mail, “Sarah and Prince Andrew have always insisted they distanced themselves from Epstein after his conviction. But the truth is, it was Epstein who cut ties. He got tired of Sarah constantly asking him for money. She borrowed far more than has ever been publicly revealed. Behind the scenes, she was always asking for financial help.”

One particularly eye-opening piece of correspondence is a letter in which Ferguson calls Epstein a “supreme friend” just weeks after she publicly stated she was severing ties with him. This came shortly after an interview she did with The London Evening Standard in March 2011, where she expressed “heartfelt apologies” for accepting the £15,000 and called it “a giant error of judgment.”

Epstein was reportedly furious about this interview, and in an email to French modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, he wrote, “The duchess that I have financially helped for 15 years said that she wants nothing to do with a paedophile and child sex abuser. It has caused quite a stir.”

The emails also reveal that Epstein demanded a public apology from Ferguson for her interview, even threatening legal action if she refused. Drafts of the apology letter included statements like, “Dear Jeffrey, I wanted you to know with certainty that many things said in the press about you that were attributed to me were either a totally malicious fabrication or an outrageous exaggeration… There was never a claim of paedophilia… You have been a loyal friend of my family for many years.”

In an email from April 7, 2011, Epstein again pressured Ferguson to “affirmatively state that she was misquoted” in the interview. Epstein even bragged about Ferguson’s visits and how she helped his image. In one message to his British lawyer Paul Tweed, he wrote, “Fergie took apartments in New York. She was the first to celebrate my release with her two daughters in tow. She visited me with policemen sitting at my front desk. She has asked for help with her charities.”

He also revealed that he had bought the web address “Mother’s Army” for her, but warned that disclosure of that could be “problematic” if leaked.

Even after Epstein’s conviction for soliciting a minor and serving just 13 months in a low-security Florida jail, Ferguson’s relationship with him continued. Earlier exchanges show just how close their connection remained, despite the public outrage over Epstein’s lenient “sweetheart deal” and the worldwide shock at his crimes.”
