The plan is for a new development, “comprising mixed residential housing, private and affordable dwellings, retirement living apartments, care home, community hub including retail/village hall/library and tourism lodges.”

The council validated the proposal from the developer Tarmac on September 23.

Details of the pre application notice shall be issued by electronically via email to the Ratho & District Community Council, and the elected members for the ward.

The online public consultation is expected to take place on Wednesday December 1, from 6pm to 8pm, and will be accessed via link on website.

The website itself is due to go live on Monday October 18.

A full planning application will follow the public consultation.
