New Edinburgh rooftop gin garden with unreal views opens at five star hotel

A spectacular rooftop gin garden has opened at an Edinburgh hotel, complete with unreal views across to Calton Hill.

The Hendrick's Cucumber Lemonade Garden is now open to walk-in punters at five-star hotel The Glasshouse, on Greenside Place – and it looks like a cracking place to spend a warm, sunny afternoon.

Those behind the bar – Hendricks and The Glasshouse – say "the enchanting rooftop terrace offers views of the dramatic Scottish hills, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of city life below".

There's said to be some magical summer vibes, plenty of greenery, lawn games and some delicious drinks, all in a tranquil setting.

There's no requirement to book a place, and the pop-up bar is open to the public from Thursdays to Sundays between 4pm and 10pm until September 5.

The Glasshouse was opened after a conversion project at the 170-year-old Lady Glenorchy Church in 2003, and sits next to the Omni Centre near the top of Leith Walk.
