New Edinburgh Pakistani restaurant set to bring 'traditional cooking methods'

A new stylish restaurant is set to open in Edinburgh today, March 18, bringing unique Pakistani gourmet traditions and authentic flavour to the capital.

Mera Lahore, which translates as 'My Lahore' and refers to the city of Lahore in Punjab, Pakistan, awaits visitors at 26/27 Haddington Place and promises not only an exceptional dining experience but also a true live entertainment with its open kitchen, which you can overlook while waiting for your meal.

The city of Lahore is famed for its rich food culture and traditional cooking methods using the finest herbs and spices, which separates it from other cultures' cooking.

Hoping to bring those distinctive traditions and flavours to the capital, owners of the restaurant, Malik and Mohammed, said: "We are really excited to be opening Mera Lahore and are offering something unique.

"Not only are we using centuries-old methods to prepare the food, but we also hope that our customers will enjoy watching our chefs at work. Our dishes are created with warm and fragrant spices, and each dish is delivered with its own aroma and flavour.

Mera Lahore's authentic Punjabi food will be as much of an experience for the eyes, as the taste buds!"

The new eatery is located in a vibrant area that bursts with favoured venues and is under ten minutes walking away from one of the capital's greatest theatres, Edinburgh Playhouse. Being a neighbour to such a popular spot makes Mera Lahore a fantastic new destination for a pre-theatre treat.
