New E-Street Cafe to bring 'soul-shaking' scran to the southside

A new cafe is set to bring 'soul-shaking' scran to the southside of Glasgow.

Work is already underway at the new 'E-Street Cafe' at 421 Clarkston Road, between Muirend and Cathcart, the former home of Cafe Toledo.

And, very much on brand with the Bruce Springsteen theme, cafe owners say: "Pre-production is underway. We’re building the stage and finessing the setlist and we’ll be ready to start bringing you soul-shaking, hip-thrusting breakfasts and brunches real soon.

"Clarkston Road, sit tight, take hold."

The new cafe will be on Clarkston Road (Google Maps)

It's understood the boss new eatery, led by a former Cafe Strange Brew chef, could open as early as next week, with a comment on the E-Street Cafe Facebook page earlier this week saying: "We're working on a dream ... or in this case, a menu for you beautiful people!

"Sourcing the best products available from home and abroad - we can't wait to welcome you all!"
