There are big changes coming to the amount of benefits people will receive from April as the Department for Work and Pensions revealed new payment rates.
The DWP recently confirmed that State Pension will rise by 2.5% and benefits by 0.5% from April this year.
The new changes will come into effect at the start of the new financial year on April 12, 2021 and will increase benefit payments delivered by the DWP - reports the Daily Record.
Benefits that will be affected include Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment (PIP), State Pension.
Legacy benefits will also be affected such as Jobseekers Allowance, Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), Income Support and Housing Benefit.
