New doorstep recycling scheme kicks off in Dundee

An ambitious doorstep recycling scheme has kicked off in Dundee.

The business is run by two former students at Dundee University, Ryan Russell and Danny McAteer.

They are providing a doorstep glass collection service and, as part of their vision to be an organisation with a social conscience, a proportion of their profits go towards supporting the Dundee Foodbank.

Ryan said this week: “We are aiming to improve recycling rates across the all of the communities we operate and our service will reduce the number of vehicles attending recycling centres, having a positive impact on local emission targets.

“The accumulative impact of the glass we are stopping going to landfill has been incredible in our first year.”
