A new dog cafe has opened in south Liverpool for dog lovers to enjoy dates with their four-legged friends.
The cafe has opened in Pets Corner, on Allerton Road , a pet shop which has been established in the area for around 50 years.
The idea of opening the cafe came from owner Elaine Saleh, from Aigburth , who has visions of transforming the old pet store into a ‘one stop shop’.
Since taking over of the venue in September last year, Elaine has added a grooming service, and now the cafe to the pet store.
She told the ECHO: "We just had so many lovely customers and I thought, wouldn’t it be great if they could come here for everything, not just for pet food.
"The shop is now more unique, because I don’t know anywhere in Liverpool where you can go in and buy your pet food, get your dog groomed, and then stay for coffee and a cake.

"We are a very friendly, neighbourhood cafe and it’s a great environment when everyone chats with each other and the dogs can play."
Visitors can enjoy a piece of cake and tea or a cup of coffee in the cafe, but their dogs can also get a treat too.
Elaine has specially made dogs treats available including woofcakes, doggieclairs and dog tarts.
As if dogs weren’t getting spoilt enough in Pet Corner, they can also get one-on-one grooming, and plenty of attention.
