A documentary about Leonardo da Vinci and the successful exhibition of his works held at the Louvre in 2019 is set to be screened soon in over 60 countries.

The 90-minute film entitled "A night at the Louvre: Leonardo da Vinci" takes the spectator in a trip to the heart of da Vinci's biography and artistic journey in the halls of the world's biggest museum.

The documentary features many musical pieces by the greatest classic composers including Bach, François Couperin, and Marc-Antoine Charpentier. It also offers a night tour with the museum's curators Vincent Delieuvin and Louis Frank who specialize in the history of the Italian renaissance painter and were behind the idea of the exhibition, according to AFP.

The experts accurately analyze each work and shed lights on the "drawing science" (an expression that da Vinci used to describe his work).

The Louvre assigned the production and global distribution of the documentary to the Pathé Live Group. The work is directed by Pierre Hubert-Martin, and has been translated into 30 languages.

Louvre director Jean-Luc Martinez said "A museum's top mission is to promote a real encounter with the artistic work. It also should prepare the visit, extend it, and encourage further knowledge."

Special shows of the documentary are scheduled from 16 to 22 September in France, Switzerland, and Belgium. It will also be displayed in other countries as of September 16. The documentary took four days of work and was shot with 6K cameras.
