A new bar is opening its doors in Liverpool city centre this week, from the team behind one of the city’s most popular venues.
The Hatch, a new self-proclaimed ‘dive bar’, is preparing to open its doors this weekend.
From the team behind Colquitt Street favourite La’go, The Hatch will open on Slater Street.

La’go took to Facebook to share the news this week, having already teased the possibility back in July.
Sharing the news, the team at La’go wrote: “We fed it after midnight and now it's spawned. La'go's lovechild opens up later this week.

“Another venue to make regrettable but funny life-choices in. You are welcome Liverpool.”
The Hatch hasn’t shared many details about what visitors can expect, but has told followers to “grab a bottle and pray for daylight”.
Earlier this week The Hatch took to Facebook and wrote: “….. something is lurking. And by lurking, I mean opening- this week! Beware. She’s dangerous!”.
Since then the team has been updating fans on the opening process, adding that while “the bar is in a pretty shoddy state” they’ll have it “spruced up by the weekend”.
The Hatch will open at 24 Slater Street. For more information, follow its Facebook page here .
