New dessert venue opening in Shawlands this week

A new dessert venue is set to open up in Shawlands this week.

Simply Sweet Shawlands will throw open its doors at 51 Kilmarnock Road on Friday, offering a range of desserts for southsiders with a sweet tooth.

Menu options includes ice cream, crepes, cookie dough and waffles, with fresh doughnuts said to be the speciality.

And to celebrate the grand opening, at 2pm, there will be free doughnuts given out to the first 50 customers.

Simply Sweet Shawlands will replace Dessert Rush, the former home of the Soy Division vegan eatery on Kilmarnock Road.

Meanwhile, owners of Simply Sweet Shawlands also confirmed to Glasgow Live vegan dessert options will be added to the menu in the coming months.
