New dates announced for Nile Rodgers & Chic concerts at Lloyds Amphitheatre in Bristol

Legendary disco band Chic playing at the Lloyds Amphitheatre was set be one of the highlights of summer in Bristol this year, but like many other events, it was cancelled due to coronavirus.

But today (April 9) brings good news, as organisers have announced both concerts featuring Nile Rodgers' group which were due to take place in July have been rescheduled until 2021.

Colston Hall, which is putting on the shows as part of its Colston Hall Presents programme while the venue is under refurbishment, has moved the two concerts to Wednesday, July 14 and Thursday, July 15, 2021.

Existing ticket holders will be contacted directly and tickets remain valid for the new dates.

Tickets for Wednesday, July 15, 2020 will now be valid for Wednesday, July 14, 2021 and tickets for Thursday, July 16, 2020 will now be valid for Thursday, July 15, 2021.

Artistic director at Bristol Music Trust Todd Wills said: "During the redevelopment of Colston Hall we have still been running a full programme of music across the city.

"It has been a tricky time having to reschedule or cancel much of that programme and disappoint our audience, so to be able to get the rescheduled dates agreed so quickly with Nile Rodgers and his team is a ray of light and something to really look forward to."
