New date announced for huge 80s music festival Let's Rock Leeds at Temple Newsam

The organisers of a huge summer festival at Temple Newsam have confirmed the event will go ahead.

The 2020 version of Let's Rock Leeds was originally rescheduled for June 26 this year, but the four-week delay to lifting all coronavirus restrictions has dashed hopes of a June festival.

The organisers have now announced that the '80s music event will now go ahead on September 18.

All of the same acts will be appearing and any tickets already bought will be valid for the new date.

A post on the official Let's Rock Leeds Facebook page reads: "Following the Government announcement which delayed the further easing of restrictions, we can confirm that LET'S ROCK LEEDS will return to Temple Newsam on SATURDAY 18th SEPTEMBER 2021.

"Tickets for the original date(s) of course remain valid, and if you don't have a ticket yet . . they're selling very fast!

"Thank you all so much again for staying the course with us. We will be celebrating in style when we get back in that field, a little later than originally planned!"

Some of the big name acts due to perform include Tony Hadley, OMD, Howard Jones, ABC, Kim Wilde, Sister Sledge, Heaven 17, T’Pau, Betty Boo and more.
