New dad, 21, found dead after suspected asthma attack

A 21-year-old man who had recently become a father has been found dead after suffering a suspected asthma attack.

Lewis Jonas collapsed while out on Saturday afternoon.

Lewis's family say they understand he may have died following an asthma attack, reports MEN.

Lewis's partner had his baby daughter five months ago, and he would have turned 22 next month.

Lewis's sister, Cher Jonas, said: "Lewis was an amazing person. He was loyal and funny.

"You could have a laugh with him. He was polite and well mannered and everyone got on with him like a house on fire.

"Lewis had bad asthma and we believe he may have had an asthma attack."

Lewis' sister Kelly, 32, died in September 2020 from immune system disorder Sjogren's syndrome.

Cher said: "Lewis was really gutted about that, but when he had his daughter his life got brighter.

"But sadly he has lost his life and now his daughter won't have her dad."

A fundraising page has been set up to help Lewis's family pay for the cost of a funeral.

You can donate to the family's fundraising page here.
