New Cross crash: Woman dies after being struck by motorcycle in south-east London

A woman has died after she was struck by a motorcycle in south-east London.

The pedestrian, in her late fifties, was rushed to hospital following the crash in New Cross at about 10pm on Tuesday.

She died a few hours later, Scotland Yard confirmed. Her next of kin have been informed.

The motorcycle had been involved in a crash with a car before it collided with the woman and another pedestrian in Amersham Road.

The other pedestrian and the motorcyclist, also a male, were taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

No arrests have been made.

Temporary road closures were in place following the crash.

Anyone with information or dash-cam footage concerning the collisions is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 8263/06Aug or Crimestoppers anonymously via 0800 555 111.
