A Newcastle church has become a major exposure site, with anyone who visited over a two-week period considered a close contact.

NSW Health added The Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, in the suburb of Waratah to its list of venues of concern after a COVID-19 case attended all day from Saturday, July 31 to Sunday, August 15.

Anyone there at those times must get tested and isolate for 14 days, regardless of the result.

Orange and neighbouring town Bathurst were also added to the close contact list overnight, with three venues visited on Saturday, August 7, and  Sunday, August 8.

Anyone who visited Village Bakehouse, between 10:50am and 12:10pm, and Byng Street Cafe, between 12:50pm and 1:10pm in Orange on Sunday, August 8, have now been advised to self-isolate for a full 14 days.

Bathurst Subway has also been added to the list for Saturday, August 7, between 12:50pm and 1:30pm.

The Sushi Zen restaurant in Dubbo has also been deemed an exposure site between 12:45pm and 12:55pm on Sunday, August 8.
