The Government is this afternoon set to announce what restrictions on UK travel are to be put in place in Ireland.
Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands have already banned flights from the UK amid fears the new Covid-19 strain could reach their shores.
The highly infectious "mutant strain" is said to be "out of control" in the UK and has led to a Christmas lockdown.
Government Ministers will meet this afternoon to discuss what action they wish to take on travel from the UK - with an announcement expected in just a few hours.
But for now, flights to and from the UK will proceed with a total of 24 flights into Dublin Airport from across the Irish Sea between 11am Sunday morning and midnight tonight.
A total of 12 flights will be coming directly from London where the strain originated in recent weeks.
