New coronavirus cases recorded in Leeds as 158 more infections confirmed in Yorkshire

Eighteen more people have tested positive for coronavirus in Leeds, bringing the city’s total to 4,142

According to data published by Public Health England, 158 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Yorkshire in the past 24 hours.

Bradford recorded the most new cases with 49, followed by Kirklees with 29.

This brings the total number of cases confirmed in the region since the start of the outbreak to 475.

Meanwhile, the two NHS Trusts in Leeds (Leeds Teaching Hospitals and Leeds Community Healthcare) have not recorded a single coronavirus-related death since Thursday.

It means the death toll for Leeds remains at 340.

Confirmed cases of coronavirus in Yorkshire:

  • Barnsley - was 2,088, now 2,093 (+5)

  • Bradford - was 5,735, now 5,784 (+49)

  • Calderdale - was 1,073, now 1,084 (+11)

  • Doncaster - was 2,055, now 2,058 (+3)

  • East Yorkshire - remains 1,675

  • Hull - remains 1,596, now 1,599 (+3)

  • Kirklees - was 2,767, now 2,796 (+29)

  • Leeds - was 4,124 now 4,142 (+18)

  • North Yorkshire - was 2,650, now 2,659 (+9)

  • Rotherham- was 2,136, now 2,142 (+6)

  • Sheffield - was 4,506, now 4,519 (+13)

  • Wakefield - was 2,003, now 2,012 (+9)

  • York - was 939, now 942 (+3)
