New Costcutter store to 'nip down to' opens in Top Valley

Top Valley residents welcomed the opening of a new Costcutter store.

The store is located where the old Harvester site used to be.

Store owner Sivarasaij Sivasanger, 40, said he is happy to have the new store open to the public and was looking forward to welcoming local residents.

Michael Brown, 42-years-old is a business development manager for more than a dozen Costcutter stores in the region.

He said "it is lovely to have a closer convenient store for the local people" and described the store as a "community hub" that is there to "support the local community."

Marc Austin, a security guard from Top Valley says that the new store is "really handy" as where he lives, there's no other store but Tesco.

Belinda Cripwell, also from Top Valley is pleased with the launch of the new shop and said: "It's nice to have somewhere else you can nip down to if you've run out of something."
