New Costco opening times as stores open earlier for NHS and emergency service workers

Wholesale giant Costco is changing its store opening times in order to ensure NHS and emergency service workers.

The retailer is following supermarkets such as Asda, Sainsbury's and Morrisons which have all adjusted its operating hours and given priority to those working hard on the frontline too.

Until Sunday, April 5 Costco will be opening all of its stores one hour earlier as its way of thanking both NHS and emergency service workers for their efforts during the pandemic.

Eligible customers need to bring their membership card and employment ID card to gain early entry to stores.

This means NHS staff will be able to visit Liverpool's Costco store based on Waterloo Road from 9am Monday- Friday and 8.30am on Saturdays.

Costco is also advising customers its stores are operating social distancing, with shoppers reminded to only bring one guest with them during the coronavirus crisis.

Costco is not the only retailer to implement rules on how many shoppers are allowed in its stores, Sainsbury's are running a one person per household rule along with Tesco too.
