New coronavirus cases recorded in almost every part of Nottinghamshire in last 24 hours

The latest Public Health England figures have shown 18 new coronavirus cases recorded over the last 24 hours across Nottinghamshire.

As of 4pm on Thursday (July 30) there were 1,217 confirmed cases in the city, a rise of eight from the previous day.

In Nottinghamshire, there are now 3,065 confirmed cases across the wider county - a rise of 10.

Across the UK there have been 302,301 lab-confirmed cases and 45,999 coronavirus deaths which is a rise of 38 deaths in the last 24 hours.

This is the current breakdown of confirmed infections since March for each region of Nottinghamshire:

  • Ashfield 575 (no change);
  • Bassetlaw 592 (plus two);
  • Broxtowe 436 (plus two);
  • Gedling 382 (no change);
  • Mansfield 354 (plus two);
  • Newark and Sherwood 332 (plus two);
  • Rushcliffe 394 (plus two).

Elsewhere across the East Midlands, there have been 1,319 confirmed cases in Derby and 3,425 across Derbyshire.

Meanwhile, there have been 4,905 confirmed infections in Leicester and 3,275 across Leicestershire.
