New city centre home for Birmingham tailor

A tailor has moved to new premises in Birmingham city centre to meet a growing demand for bespoke menswear.

Colmore Tailors has taken a suite at the listed Cheltenham House, in Temple Street, relocating from its previous home in Cannon Street.

The company was launched by self-taught clothing entrepreneur Scott Caddick in a spare bedroom five years ago and will soon feature on TV show The Wedding Fixers as a grooms visit the Birmingham store to be measured and advised on a suit.

Mr Caddick said: "The traditional view of tailoring is rigid and stiff, both in the textiles and approach to fitting.

"I want to change that and provide a place where people could drop-in and get advice.

"We want to get under the skin of what buyers need these days and offer one-to-one personal suggestions without the interruptions a traditional retail space might create."
