New cinema, bowling alley and giant M&S coming to Edge Lane and there isn't long to wait

Work is underway to bring even more businesses, leisure facilities and shops including a huge M&S to Liverpool's Shopping Park based on Edge Lane.

Known as the second phase, the works will see a further £30m invested into the site by owners The Derwent Group, after the first phase opened to the public back in 2017.

Shoppers can look forward to a total of 17 new shopping retailers joining the shopping park with Marks & Spencer set to open a flagship store spread over 60,000 sq ft.

There will also be five new restaurants to add to its food offering which already includes includes Frankie and Benny's and Chiquitos.

The cinema operator is yet to be confirmed however inside it will have six screens. Edge Lane's famous Hollywood Bowl will also be relocating and reopening in a brand new building.

Work is due to start soon on the site and once complete will tip the Liverpool Shopping Park to become one of the largest shopping parks in the UK.

Retailers currently based at Liverpool Shopping Park includes River Island, M&S Food Hall, Next, H&M and Smyths Toys.

A 24-hour Starbucks and Lidl are understood to be opening at the shopping park too.
