New Chelsea kit: 'Leaked' shirt for 2020-21 season branded 'worst kit ever' by fans

Chelsea fans have been almost unanimous in their condemnation of a 'leaked' shirt for next season after a model posed in the strip and posted it on social media.

It is unclear whether the red and blue design is the official kit for the new campaign, though it tallies with an earlier design leaked on fan forums.

The Nike strip includes the logo of new official shirt partner Three, after the Blues earlier this year announced the connectivity brand as their new lead sponsor from the beginning of the 2020-21 season.

With red and blue stripes down the front, a blue collar, and a blue-to-red fade design down the sleeves, it would certainly mark a departure from traditional Chelsea kits.

Fans were quick to point out its resemblance to Crystal Palace kits of recent years, with one saying: "I swear if that's real I'll stop supporting Chelsea."

MaxCFC added: "It may be the worst kit Chelsea have ever made? I’m not that old so I wouldn’t know some of the 80/90’s kits but can’t imagine they can be anywhere near this crystal palace debacle... looks like a melted Ice pop..."

"So it’s actually real? That’s disgusting," posted another.

It is unclear whether the proposed strip is Chelsea's home, away or third strip, but the "Btec Crystal Palace" design, as one fan put it, is far from a hit with supporters regardless.
