New Chelsea 2019/20 kits: A fourth kit, a Stamford Bridge graphic and the latest leaked images

With the season coming to a close, it won't be long until kits for the new season will be unveiled up and down the country.

In fact, some clubs don't wait until the end of the season to officially release the new kit. Last season, Chelsea released the 2018/19 kit ahead of the season finale against Newcastle, and opted to wear it for that match. Not that it bought them any luck, as the Blues fell to a 3-0 defeat.

Chelsea are heading into their third year with kit manufacturer Nike, with the company introducing red and white stripes into the current season's home shirt.

So, will the sportswear giant mix it up again this year? Here's a roundup of all the information on the 2019/20 kit so far.

Leaked information

Before any images were seen of the potential new kit, there was some information about what it looked liked . Popular website Footy Headlines claimed that the home shirt would predominantly 'rush blue', but with some red and white features. The most interesting aspect was the claim that the shirt would feature a subtle graphic of Stamford Bridge.

The same website also claimed that Chelsea's away kit would be white, while the third kit would be black and orange.

There was also reports that there will be a fourth kit as part of the set for the 2019/20 season, the first time that the club has had one in its history. It is claimed that the fourth choice kit will again be blue, and will mainly be worn for home games in cup competitions and in Europe.

Leaked images

Not long after the information about the kits was released, images of a potential new home kit began to circulate. Again, as shown by FootyHeadlines , the images seems to fit the description given by the same website.

Although the reaction to the leaked images from the Chelsea fans wouldn't have been what was hoped for by the kits designers.

Chelsea fans will not have long to wait for the official release of the kits, as it is claimed on the Chelsea store website that the strip will be available from Thursday (May 2nd) on Nike.com.
