New Celtic kit 'leaked' as fans get first glimpse at throwback Adidas effort

Christmas appears to have come early for Celtic fans as they have been given a first reported glimpse at a special edition Adidas kit set to launch in December.

The sportswear giants are launching a run of throwback 'Teamgeist' shirts to mark 15 years since the 2006 World Cup.

The likes of Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are all set to release new shirts in the style that was all the rage in Germany as Italy became world champions for the fourth time.

And it seems Celtic are in on the act as leaks have emerged on Twitter showing their version of the jersey.

The leaks initially emerged from user @KitConnorrsseur and reliable kit-leak source Footy Headlines have shared further images of the throwback shirt.

The colour scheme evokes memories of the late 1990s when the Hoops traditionally wore black and lime away strips.

There's also a hint of the black third kit the Hoops wore from 2005-07 - the same time period as the World Cup adidas are honouring.

Footy Headlines have also leaked images of five more Teamgeist kits which show Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Juventus all getting shirts which follow the same template.

The new kits are expected to be launched in December in time for the Christmas sales so fans can expect to see them on the Celtic club shop soon.
