'New' Celtic kit leaked as Adidas number for 2021/22 appears online

The new Celtic kit for the 2021/22 season has been leaked, according to a website.

Footyheadlines.com shared images of what they claim is the Adidas home kit the Hoops will wear for the next Scottish Premiership campaign.

The purported home strip doesn’t feature the yellow trim that adorned this season’s and uses the same shade of green for the hoops, with Dafabet continuing to be the main shirt sponsor.

This is the second Adidas Celtic kit after the sportswear giant took over the manufacturing from New Balance last summer.

It is claimed the new kit will be released in early May of this year, in line with the schedule used for the final New Balance kit.

There’s likely to be plenty of new faces to go along with the new shirts.

Celtic are under pressure to try to wrestle the title back from Rangers next year and are expected to be busy in the transfer market this summer.

The likes of Odsonne Edouard and Kris Ajer have been heavily linked with moves away from Parkhead and the squad will need to be strengthened after finishing a ways behind the Gers this season.

It will also be the first kit of the post-Scott Brown era, the skipper having agreed to join Aberdeen on a pre-contract and become Stephen Glass’ player-assistant manager.

There’s also the small matter of appointing Neil Lennon’s replacement. Eddie Howe and Roy Keane are the current front runners, with Manchester City youth coach Enzo Maresca also in the frame.
