New Celtic away kit 'leaked' online to mixed reaction

The new Celtic kit has seemingly been leaked online to mixed reviews.

Photos of a yellow and green design have appeared on social media ahead of an expected official launch this summer, reports Belfast Live.

Website Footy Headlines unveiled the new Celtic home strip well ahead of time back in April.

And they appear to have struck again with the purported jersey that Neil Lennon's side will wear next term.

It shows a yellow body with a large dark green stripe running across the neck and shoulders that also features a cross-hatch detailing.

The colour combination recalls the iconic 2003 away strip, designed by Umbro and worn by the likes of Henrik Larsson, that was a huge hit with fans back in the day.

But, if this is supposed to be its natural successor, early reviews on Twitter have been underwhelming.

But   WholeLottaSoul   said: "Please @CelticFC NO"

And   djilfitz   agreed: "Why do kit manufacturers find it so difficult to design a decent kit? Home kit - green / white / hoops Away - dark or light green Third - black with green trim Play about with third colours like silver and gold. Try dark green and black hoops."

CelJoe7   added: "Awful, only one kit New balance have produced and that was the home with gold! The rest are awful! Apparently new balance have taken over umbro. We need a new kit manufacture! All cheap s***e and badly designed! Away 94 was a beaut. And away 93."
