'New celebration' - Benik Afobe keeps spirits high as Bristol City's on-loan Stoke City star shows dance moves

Benik Afobe has kept fans’ spirits high during the coronavirus shutdown by showing off his dance moves on TikTok.

With the football season currently suspended until April 3 at the earliest, fans and players alike have voiced their boredom at a lack of sport - something that has only been exacerbated by the new social distancing methods introduced by the government yesterday.

Bristol City have given their players some time away from the training ground, although they all have fitness regimes to follow.

The situation, though, has left players with plenty of free time to kill - something that on-loan Robins striker Afobe pointed out on Instagram when offering to do a dance with his family.

“Got too much time on my hands,” he posted on a story. “Who wants to see an Afobe household TikTok?”

When 95 per cent of users said yes, Afobe posted a video doing the Oh Na Na Na Challenge, which sees two people dancing to a remix of the rapper Bonde R300’s 2017 song.

Afobe followed it up with a clip of him and his daughter dancing as the Robins striker sought to have some fun during the shutdown.

It certainly helped to keep fans happy, with many praising his moves.

Bristol City: Gang!

Olly: Yes Benik.

JD: Benik with the moves, hopefully he can fully move to City.

Gym Sock: Can’t wait for him to be back at Stoke.

Mike: Ooooh Benik Afobe!

Harry: Afobe mate, get on the pitch.

Finley: New celebration?
