New cases of coronavirus in Leeds as 39 diagnosed across Yorkshire in a day

Three more coronavirus cases have been recorded in Leeds, according to the latest figures.

It takes the total number of confirmed cases in the city to 1,835.

Across Yorkshire, the total number of confirmed cases now stands at 14,320, according Public Health England.

Across the whole of the UK, since the start of the outbreak, 152,470 people have tested positive.

The news comes after it was revealed that 20 more people have died from coronavirus in Yorkshire.

The deaths were recorded at hospitals across the region  in the past 24 hours.

New Yorkshire cases of Covid-19 by location:

Barnsley - was 966 now 968

Bradford - was 1,326 now 1,332

Calderdale - still 294

Doncaster - still 786

East Riding of Yorkshire - was 909 now 914

Hull - was 727 now 734

Kirklees - was 754 now 757

Leeds - was 1,832 now 1,835

North Yorkshire - was 1,301 now 1,304

Rotherham - was 971 now 979

Sheffield - was 2,540 now 2,542

Wakefield - 748

York - 457
