New care scheme in Nottinghamshire to bring 50 jobs following Covid-19 pandemic

More than 50 jobs are being created in Nottinghamshire after a care scheme announced plans to launch following the coronavirus pandemic.

Social care company Carefound is set to bring a a new home-care operation to the county, aimed at supporting people from within their own homes.

People living with illnesses such as dementia and Parkinson's as well as those requiring stroke or end-of-life care will be able to take advantage of the scheme, with the company hiring both live-in and hourly carers.

It will support people across West Bridgford, Keyworth, Beeston, Radcliffe-on-Trent and Arnold, with Carefound moving to the area after running similar schemes in Cheshire and Yorkshire.

Hourly carers will visit residents within their own homes, with salaries of £10.10 to £10.76 per hour. Live-in carers will live with residents on a one or two week on-and-off cycle. The salary for this ranges from between £550 and £769 per week.

Sarah Richards, branch manager for Carefound Home Care in Nottinghamshire, said: “We are delighted to be bringing our expertise to Nottinghamshire and are busy recruiting a fantastic team of professional carers who are caring, compassionate and can demonstrate a clear understanding of our ethos.

"All of our carers receive specialist training from our office in West Bridgford and we look to attract the best people by offering great pay and benefits, leading training and professional development and unrivalled 24/7, local support.

"I have over 19 years’ experience in the care industry and feel privileged to be establishing the Carefound Home Care service in Nottinghamshire, which I know will bring a huge amount to the local community."

The firm will be based in West Bridgford and its services include basic domestic help, companionship, medication help and personal care - as well as specialist support for residents.
