New Arizona Cardinals defensive back Byron Murphy will have an easier transition than most players. Taken by the Cardinals with the first pick of the second round of the draft, he joins a team full of familiar faces.
Having played high school ball at Saguaro High School, he already knows receiver Christian Kirk and running back D.J. Foster.
The Cardinals also have two of his former college teammates. Already on the roster are safety Budda Baker and linebacker Zeke Turner.
His new and former teammates are excited.
Murphy will have a built-in comfort zone when he first joins the team. Now all he needs to do is adjust to NFL football.
