New car to be won in St Andrew's Hospice annual raffle

St Andrew’s Hospice is gearing up for one of its biggest annual fundraisers – the annual grand car raffle.

Participants have the chance to win a brand new car for the sum of just £1, the price of entry into the Airdrie charity’s fundraising draw.

There are also two runner-up cash prizes, of £500 and £250 respectively, for other lucky winners to be drawn.

Last year’s contest helped the hospice raise £40,000 towards its running costs for providing specialist care and support for patients and their loved ones across Lanarkshire.

Tickets are available from www.st-andrews-hospice.com/grand-car-raffle/ – they cost £1 and can be bought in books of 10 from the hospice’s website.

Last year’s car winner, Audrey Allen, recalled: “When I got the call, I thought it was a joke! I still have the car and I can safely say it’s the best thing I’ve ever won.

“I’ve played the grand car raffle for at least five years and when the tickets arrive through the post I always fill them out and send them back without hesitation.”

She added: “I never thought for a minute that I would win; and the fact that it was for St Andrew’s Hospice just makes it a bonus.”

This year’s St Andrew’s Hospice raffle is supported by Arnold Clark; the winner will be drawn on Thursday, July 30, at 12 noon.
