New Captain Marvel trailer: Fans get second look at Brie Larson in female-led superhero film

Marvel has teased a second look at upcoming superhero film Captain Marvel, starring Brie Larson in the female-led flick.

The fresh two-minute clip sees Larson’s character Carol Danvers delve into the mid-1990s after she literally falls to Earth and into a Blockbuster Video store.

The teaser shows Carol attempting to make sense of her arrival, telling Nick Fury, played by Samuel L Jackson, about how she “keeps having these memories”.

Carol, who is believed to have joined elite military team Starforce as part of alien race Kree, hails them “warrior-heroes” after they rescued her.

The new superhero is forced to battle it out with a new threat led by Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos, who is known as a Skrull.

Viewers also witness Carol beating up an old woman on the subway after she is suspected of being a Skrull in disguise, having sought guidance from Kree mentor, played by Jude Law.
