New café with delicious brunch menu opens at Edinburgh Printmakers art hub

Suffer from mid-morning hunger pangs? There's a new place to get them sorted.

A café has opened at the Edinburgh Printmakers art hub, which after an £11m transformation.

Café Ink has a delicious brunch menu including avocado and edamame smash, served on toasted homemade cornbread with chilli maple syrup, pea shoots and soy pumpkin seeds.

You can also try the power bowl which features hot smoked salmon, griddled baby courgette and asparagus, broccoli pesto and sesame, topped with a poached egg.

It has a backdrop of the contemporary arts hub and a casual atmosphere. There are plenty of vegan options and much of the furniture is made from recycled material.

Siobhan Leith, from owners Heritage Portfolio, said: "We took great care to ensure that Café Ink complemented the new home of Edinburgh Printmakers, as well as appealing to the local community.

"I’m confident that as the word spreads about our funky dishes, created by Lizzie Arber our Retail Development Chef such as the avocado and edamame smash or our protein power bowl, it will soon become a hub within a hub.

"The team has extensive experience and they have worked hard to develop an enticing menu that has something to satisfy our different grazing habits throughout the day."
