New bus routes to start serving Nottinghamshire Morrisons

New bus services taking shoppers to a Nottinghamshire Morrisons supermarket have been announced.

Following the easing of coronavirus lockdown measures, Nottingham Coaches has announced its new Shoplink services will start from June 16.

To help Rushcliffe residents access the Morrisons store at Gamston, new routes S2, S3 and S4 will run every Tuesday and Thursday daytime.

The S2 connects Bingham and Radcliffe with Morrisons, the S3 serves Keyworth and Tollerton and the S4 runs from East Bridgford and the Shelford Road area of Radcliffe.

The company said it is following all of the Government guidance to operate services safely, with social distancing in place on its vehicles as well as a thorough cleaning regime.

A spokesperson for the travel firm said: “These services provide an important link to Morrisons so with the relaxation of some lockdown rules, we have decided that now is the right time to launch these routes.

“We are taking great care to make sure we operate safely for both our customers and staff and ask that people only use these services for essential shopping trips.”

Concession passes are accepted and single and return fares are also available.

Route and timetable information can be found on the company's website.
