Emerging choreographers Daniel Riley, Kristina Chan, Bernard Knauer and Fiona Jopp will present their original dance pieces as part of New Breed. The program was initiated by Sydney Dance Company and Carriageworks to support the next generation of dance makers.

Daniel Riley made his debut with Riley, a work commissioned by Stephen Page for Bangarra Dance Theatre, while Hong Kong-born dancer Kristina Chan’s first work was staged with Adelaide College of the Arts in 2010.

The German-born Bernaud Knauer joined Sydney Dance Company in 2010 after performing across Europe. He will debut his first work as a choreographer for New Breed, as will Fiona Jopp, a full-time member of Sydney Dance Company.
