A new business park in Birmingham aimed at attracting manufacturers and other industrial companies to the region has secured its first tenant.
Nicoman, which makes vinyl mats for use in cars and the home, has secured a new warehouse on Mucklow Park in Tyseley.
The company has agreed a ten-year lease on an 11,000 sq ft unit on the 19-acre park which was speculatively built and has a total of 77,000 sq ft of industrial space.
Property consultancies Harris Lamb and JLL were appointed to market the site.
Neil Slade, from Harris Lamb's agency team, said: "As one of the most exciting new multi-let developments in the region, we are delighted that Nicoman has taken on Unit 2c at the estate.
"Mucklow Park has been carefully planned to make it the optimum site for all industrial sectors and the high specification of the buildings has been key to attracting Nicoman.
"We have seen unprecedented demand for the properties with viewings continuing despite the recent uncertainty as a consequence of covid-19.
"We have proposals out to a variety of prospective tenants and hope to welcome further new business to join Nicoman in due course."
Stuart Haydon, portfolio manager at landlord Mucklow, added: "Nicoman is a great tenant and we are delighted they have chosen Mucklow Park as its new home.
"We are certain further lettings will be announced going forward."
