New Birmingham base for Robinson Low Francis

Independent construction and property consultancy Robinson Low Francis has moved to a new home in Birmingham city centre.

The agency has taken 3,500 sq ft of grade A office space on the seventh floor of 1 Newhall Street.

RLF, which was formed in 1888, has signed a ten-year lease and has relocated from its previous base at 54 Hagley Road in Edgbaston.

David Harris, managing partner of the Birmingham office, said: "We have occupied space at 54 Hagley Road for a decade and been based in the Edgbaston area for over 60 years.

"The move into Birmingham city centre represents a major step change for us so finding exactly the right accommodation was of vital importance."

Following its acquisition by Ardstone Capital in 2014, 1 Newhall Street has undergone a comprehensive refurbishment programme.

Property consultancies BNP Paribas and Avison Young acted on the deal.

George Jennings, a director with Avison Young, said: "Birmingham's city centre office market continues to be a highly competitive environment and securing a company with the legacy and reputation of RLF is a significant vote of confidence."
