A new restaurant has opened in Liverpool city centre serving authentic German classics including 'high end' doner kebabs huge waffles.
Berlin DÖNER launched last Saturday in Williamson Square, on the day pubs, bars and restaurants were allowed to reopen after lockdown rules were relaxed.
The venue has been influenced by the cafe culture of Berlin and specialises in serving authentic doner kebab meat, using high quality ingredients.
The menu includes doner burgers, wraps and even doner pizzas.
But it's not all about meat, with falafel burgers and wraps also being served, along with a vegan platter.
For those with a sweet tooth, there's freshly baked baklava amd huge Berlin waffles to tuck into, with toppings including Nutella, Oreo and crushed Maltesers.
Director Madi Outaaraft explained: "We're huge fans of Berlin eating-out culture and after many visits last year to research the market and source artisan suppliers, we've put together what we believe is a leading edge business offering kebabs that will appeal to a wider and equally discerning audience.
"Their great taste comes from our sauces that are a well-kept secret and the succulent beef and chicken fillets that we source from quality producers of fine foods imported directly from Germany.
"Berlin DÖNER also uses fresh, locally produced vegetables that are delivered and prepared daily along with its special DÖNER Kebab” bread.
The whole menu is also available on Uber and Deliveroo.
